d. August 20, 2021

William J. Gehr, 72, passed peacefully on Friday, August 20, 2021 in Willow Grove, PA. Bill, as he was called to everyone who knew him, was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Following graduation from North High School in 1968, Bill attended the University of Wisconsin, Superior where he studied communications. While working in Duluth, Minnesota, Bill met Lynn. They married, moved to Pennsylvania and had two children together, Jeremy and Katie. Bill was the manager of Weinstein Supply for many years. He eventually moved on to work at Betz Plumbing and Heating Supply which he thoroughly enjoyed and was working there until he became ill. Bill was known for his mischievous stunts in his adolescent years and loved retelling the stories. He had a life-long passion for antiques. He had a love for and knowledge of Maxfield Parrish prints. Bill also loved collecting, repairing and selling stained-glass windows. His windows have appeared in several publications. Holidays were meaningful. Bill would host Thanksgiving dinner every year for his family. At Christmas, it was tradition to watch A Christmas Carol (only the Alastair Sim version was allowed) and It’s a Wonderful Life. His family will greatly miss spending that time with him. Bill is survived by Lynn Gehr, his son, Jeremy Gehr (Meghan), his daughter Katie Pappentick (Scott) and his grandchildren Ally, Natalie, Bryson and Charlotte.
