Tina H. Smith, of Glenside, formerly of Oreland, passed away on September 5, 2017. Born in Washington D.C., she was the daughter of the late James and Tacy (nee Lipka) Hudson.  Tina graduated from Scott High School in Coatesville, PA in 1962. She graduated from American University with a degree in International Relations and later obtained her Master’s in education from West Chester University.  She also received her Differentiated Instruction Certificate from Penn State.  Tina worked for Senator Schweiker on Capitol Hill until 1977 and later taught history and government at Norristown High School for many years. She was a 40 year active member of the League of Women Voters.  Tina is survived by her husband Stephen K. Smith, her children Abigail Monahan and Erich Smith (Amy). She is also survived by her grandchildren Taylor Witman, Brayden Monahan and Molly and Erin Smith.  Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Sunday September 10th from 4-6PM at the John F. Murray Funeral Home 1220 Bethlehem Pike Flourtown, PA.  Graveside services will be held on Monday September 11, 2017 at 11AM at Fairview Cemetery 786 Oak St. Coatesville, PA 19320.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
