In loving memory of Thomas, who passed away unexpectedly on September 9, 2026. Born on July 27, 1945, Norristown, PA, Tom was a cherished son to Isabelle and John. His life's tapestry was woven with threads of love, dedication, and a deep connection to family and friends.
Tom was a devoted husband to Anita, with whom he shared a beautiful marriage beginning in 1974. Together, they built a life of warmth and joy that was enriched by their daughter Kelly and her husband Ben Airington. Tom's heart was further filled with the laughter and love of his granddaughter, Scarlett, who brought immense joy to his life.
Brother to the late Rose Malley, Tom is also survived by many loving family members, including Courtney Malley, Bryan Malley, Regina and Dale Stewart, Dr. Thomas Cerasaro, cousins Carol Cauley and Tommy Miller. He leaves behind multiple nieces and nephews, as well as a host of cherished friends who will miss his lively spirit and generous heart.
Educated at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School, Tom's career spanned over three decades as an operating engineer local 542. He was proud of his work at James D. Morrissey Inc., and the excavating company he founded, as well as his contributions to S. Vecchione, Inc. before his retirement. Tom's professional life was marked by hard work and integrity.
Tom found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a passion for landscaping, travel, motorcycle trips, and attending top fuel drag races. Yet, his greatest happiness came from spending time with his family, whom he adored. He was a man for all seasons, whose warmth and kindness touched everyone he met.
Family and close friends are invited to a memorial service at St Thomas Whitemarsh Church Wednesday September 16 2026 at 3pm in McCausland Chapel.
In honor of Tom's life and legacy, the family suggests that donations be made to the American Heart Association. His memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
