Rita Lowe passed away on January 11, 2026, in Dresher PA surrounded by loved ones.
Rita Elaine Lowe was born on October 17, 1942 in Dumont, NJ, to Robert and Elfrieda (Eckelmann) Lowe. The baby sister to Charles and Roberta (Lowe) Woodmansee.
Rita graduated from Ridgefield Park High School in 1960 and went on to earn credits at Campbell College in North Carolina. Upon returning home, Rita went to The Gibbs Jr College for secretarial training, She started her career as a secretary with Federal Electric Corp in Paramus NJ.
Rita's most rewarding job was being mother to her four children, David, Stephen, Deborah & Sharon.
As a child, Rita was best known for her love of her baby dolls, especially Linda, and her love of the piano. She performed in numerous piano recitals ~ some have said she was a prodigy. As she raised her family and worked part time as a secretary she shared her love of music by teaching piano to many students over the years.
A large part of her heart went to all the cats she had the honor to love and care for. From her childhood cat, Boots, to Sable. Sable never left her side, an irreplaceable connection of unconditional love.
Another love of hers that started in childhood was her love of baseball. She would fondly recall going to NY Dodgers games with her daddy - he dressed sharply with his hat and tie, she with her skirt and blouse. Thankfully, she shared this special bond with all of us but especially her grandson, Michael. Passionate Phillies fans they are.
Rita is survived by her son David Beun & wife Joanna, her son Stephen Beun, her daughter Deborah Wszolek & husband Michael, her daughter Sharon Peszka & husband Andrew.
Rita was affectionately known to most as Oma. She loved her grandchildren as only an Oma can ~ with all her heart!
She is survived by her seven grandchildren: Michael E. Wszolek, Lauren M. Wszolek, Marissa N. Beun, Nathaniel R. Beun, Gwyneth Beun, Joshua Cantales & Christopher Cantales. Rita is also survived by many nieces and nephews, who she held dear to her heart.
If you knew Rita/Oma you knew her faith was her guiding light. She exemplified this beautifully throughout her years here on earth. She loved a good game of kings corners, Chinese checkers, uno, and many more. One of her hobbies was making up her hangers - if you received one of them you knew you were loved.
Rita is preceded in heaven by her parents Robert and Elfrieda , her sister Roberta Woodmansee & her husband Karl, her brother Charles Lowe & wife Susan, her nephew Jeffrey Lowe, her many beloved cousins and friends. May they wrap her in their love and welcome her home.
