Richard Berman

Richard Berman of Springhouse Estates / Fort Washington passed away on Friday, October 8th, 2021. Richard was born in Philadelphia on July 1, 1943 to parents Robert and Myra Berman. He is predeceased by his parents, his sister Barbara, and his wife of almost 50 years Mary Patricia (nee Vesey). He is survived by his daughter Barbara, nephew Sean Durkin, sister-in-law Teresa Vesey and many friends and family members. Richard was a microbiologist for the state of Pennsylvania and when not working, he spent much of his time in the Wissahickon park. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at 11AM at John F. Murray Funeral Home 1225 Bethlehem Pike Flourtown, PA 19031. Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation from 10-11AM at the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Friends of the Wissahickon or the American Society of Microbiology.
