Michael B. Wilson, cherished husband, father, son, and brother, peacefully departed this world on December 9, 2025 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, after bravely battling cancer for the second time. He was born on May 5, 1980, in Philadelphia, PA, and lived a life full of love, strength, and devotion.
Mike was a dedicated senior engineer at Hargrove Engineering firm, where he found immense joy in his work over three years. His talent shone through in his projects, reflecting the calmness and gentleness that characterized his personality. With a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Lehigh University and a Master's in Structural Engineering from Drexel, Mike was not only an engineer but also a beloved professor at Montgomery Community College, where he inspired many students through his passion for teaching.
Family was the cornerstone of Mike's life, and his proudest accomplishments were his marriage to Kristen Hotchkiss and their three beautiful children: Hannah, Hayden, and Harlow. Every year, he delighted in sending flowers to Kristen on their dating anniversary, a sweet tradition that always brought a smile to her face despite her yearly surprise.
His love for his children was evident in everything he did. Hayden adored going out in the waves at Rehobeth Beach with his father, an adventure full of laughter and joy. Harlow cherished their moments at the pool, enjoying quality time just the two of them, while Hannah fondly remembers their quiet mornings together, sharing breakfast with pop tarts and books—each time, Mike would ask about how many times she had read her favorite stories, showing his genuine interest in her world.
Mike was devoted and caring, providing a steady presence in the lives of those he loved. He had a gift for remembering all the important dates and events, making sure that each moment was celebrated and cherished. His kindness and easy-going spirit touched everyone he met, and he was known for his hopeful outlook on life, always striving for satisfaction and joy.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Kristen; his daughter, Hannah (13); his son, Hayden (10); and his youngest daughter, Harlow (5). He is also survived by his sister, Nicole Wilson. Mike was welcomed into heaven by his mother, Susan Wilson, and father, Michael Wilson, where they will be eternally united.
Michael B. Wilson may have left this world, but the legacy of love and joy he fostered will continue to resonate in the hearts of his family and friends. His spirit will live on in the memories they shared, forever reminding them of the gentle man who was so proud to be their husband, father, son, and brother.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 20, 2025, Oreland Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 1119 Church Road, Oreland, PA, where relatives and friends will be received after the service.
