Michael T Henry

Michael T. Henry of Oreland, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at home at the age of eighty-six on October 26, 2022. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Campbell). He was the loving son of Catherine (nee Deacy) and Edward. Father of Michael (Eileen), Mary (Robert), William (Ellen) and Geraldine (Michael). Grandfather of 14 Matthew (Christie) and Eamon (Stephanie) Henry, Meaghan, Connell (Grace), Bridget, Jack, Danny, Emmett and Seamus Sykes, Jane, Keeley and Nole Henry, Martin and Katie Canalley. Michael emigrated from Huntsfield, Kilkelly, Co. Mayo Ireland at age 22 with his mother. He met his wife, Mary at a dance in Germantown at the Irish Center. They were married in July 1964 and lived in the West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia and eventually moved to Flourtown where they raised their four children. Michael ran a successful landscaping business for 40 years. Friends and family will remember Michael for his kindness and generosity, his sharp wit and sense of humor, his love of his County Mayo Gaelic Football and Hurling teams, and his devotion to his family. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Sunday October 30, 2022, from 7-9 PM and Monday October 31, 2022, from 9-10 AM at St. Genevieve Church 1225 Bethlehem Pike Flourtown, PA 19031. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday October 31, 2022, at 10 AM at St. Genevieve Church 1225 Bethlehem Pike Flourtown, PA 19031 followed by the burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Cheltenham, Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, make contributions in his name to the Central Association of the Miraculous Medal Shrine 475 E. Chelten Ave Philadelphia, PA 19144.
