Lisa Ann Lattimore passed into eternal rest on Sunday April 5, 2026, at her home in Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania. Lisa was born on February 2, 1965, to the late Waymon C. Lattimore, M.D. and Ann Lattimore. She grew up with her siblings in Montclair, New Jersey. During her early teenage years, Lisa moved with her family to the Washington, D.C. suburbs where she graduated from Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School. Subsequently, Lisa attended Brown University and received her bachelor’s degree from Boston University, before receiving her Master’s degree from Arcadia University.
Lisa began her career working as a marketing manager at IBM Corporation. While there, she travelled extensively across the United States and South America. After, she and her husband welcomed the birth of their son William Malone, who was the light of her life.
Lisa transitioned to a career in education, where she taught History and Social Studies for 19 years at Wissahickon High School in Ambler, PA. During her time at WHS, she was deeply passionate about mentoring youth, making a meaningful difference in the lives of her students and the wider Wissahickon district community. She was known for her compassion, strength, and commitment to supporting others. Lisa developed the curriculum for the district’s African American Studies course. In addition to her work in the classroom, Lisa was the founding advisor of the Black Student Union and a leader in the school district’s equity efforts, helping to create a sense of belonging for all students. Lisa’s impact extended across the district through her relationships, leadership and advocacy.
Outside of the classroom, Lisa was actively engaged in volunteer work and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed travelling, cooking and playing with her dog, Lola.
Lisa is survived by her son William Malone. She is also survived by her siblings Waymon Lattimore, M.D. (Katie) from Denver, Colorado, Vera Lattimore, Esq. from Ambler, Pennsylvania, her niece Victoria Rowe, as well as a host of cousins, extended family members and special friends.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 18, 2026, Zion Baptist Church, 14 North Street , Ambler, PA where relatives and friends will be received from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be private. A reception will follow the service.
