Judith Ann Robinson

May 28, 1946 — September 26, 2025

Judith Ann Robinson, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 79 on September 25, 2025, in Mount Airy, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Jackson, Michigan, Judy grew up on the shores of Ackerson Lake alongside her three sisters and brother. A gifted student, she graduated as valedictorian of her high school class and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Albion College and a master’s degree in Social Work from Michigan State University.

Her journey led her to Oklahoma, where she continued her career in social work. Judith was a devoted and compassionate social worker who dedicated many years to serving diverse communities. Her longstanding commitment as the Executive Director of the Women's Resource Center, where she worked diligently to support women and families, left a meaningful and enduring impact on all those she served.

Judy was a devoted mother to her son, Jeffrey Harper, and a loving stepmother to Anngie and Justin Harper. In 1990, she married her soulmate, Pastor Joe Neal Robinson, with whom she shared a life of faith, love, and service. Together, they lived in several Oklahoma communities—including Norman, Hydro, Midwest City, Holdenville, and Ponca City—before retiring in Stillwater to be near Joe’s sisters and their families.

Two years ago, Judy and Joe relocated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to be near her son, daughter-in-law, Melissa, and granddaughter, Coral. She was deeply present in Coral’s life and cherished the opportunity to build a close and loving bond with her. In her final months, Judy resided with her family in Mount Airy, continuing to share meaningful time with those she loved most.

Judy was actively involved in the United Methodist Church and embraced her role as a preacher’s wife with grace and warmth. She was an avid reader, a passionate fan of college sports—especially Oklahoma and Oklahoma State—and found joy in puzzles, crosswords, gardening, and walks through the Wissahickon. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Neal Robinson; her parents, Gordon and Areta Smith; and her brother, Mike Smith. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Harper; granddaughter, Coral Harper; and siblings Karyn Kaufman, Stephanie Smith, Jill Finch, their spouses, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Judy’s life was marked by kindness, thoughtfulness, and a deep love for those around her. She will be remembered for her quiet wit, her graceful smile, and the unwavering support she gave to her family and community.

A private memorial will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local library or literacy program in Judy’s honor.
