Son of Thomas Aloysius Galbally and Adeline Cook. He was raised on Phil Ellena Street in the Mt. Airy section of Philadelphia and was a member of the Little Flower Parish. He was awarded a Purple Heart, a Good Conduct Medal, The National Defense Service Medal, a Vietnam Service Medal, a Combat Infantryman Badge, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Ribbon. Joe lived a full life filled with a love for travel, his business, and his family. He cherished people and loved telling stories about his adventures to anyone who would listen. He had an insatiable appetite for knowledge and enjoyed reading anything he could get his hands on. In 1987 he and his business partners purchased Pennypack Supply Company in Northeast Philadelphia where he worked until retiring in 2010. Joe is survived by his wife MaryAnne (Doyle), his four children, Matthew (Carolyn), Timothy (Kate), Daniel (Megan), and Brian (Michelle), his brother Thomas, seven grandchildren, and countless cousins. A celebration of Joe’s life will take place on Thursday June 23, 2022 at 1PM at Flourtown Country Club 150 McCloskey Rd Flourtown, PA 19031.
