Joanlouise M. Letter

October 3, 1932 — September 3, 2024

Joanlouise Letter (nee Magarity) – Age 91 of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; Formerly of Flourtown, PA, passed away peacefully September 3, 2024 (1 month shy of her 92nd birthday). She is the daughter of Joseph & Louise Magarity.

 Joanlouise attended Holy Cross Catholic School in Mt. Airy & graduated from Little Flower High School for Girls in Philadelphia. She went on to marry Owen F. Letter and together they raised their 5 loving children, daughter Karen and their sons, Joseph, Daniel, Thomas & Gregory.

 Joanlouise kept herself busy raising their family and also enjoyed gardening, sewing & baking. She enjoyed her family outings fishing and her many walks on the beach and around the neighborhood with her dogs.

 She is survived by her 5 Children, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Owen, sister Bettejane Stevens & a grandson Gregory Wayne Verhonich.

 Her funeral will be held on Saturday, September 14 at St. Genevieve’s Church, 1225 Bethlehem Pike, Flourtown, PA. Friends may call from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m.

 In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: SECU Hospice House of Brunswick, 955 Mercy Lane SE, Bolivia, NC 28422 or an animal rescue of your choice in Joan’s memory.
