James P. Wrigley

James Paul Wrigley, of Ambler, formerly of Oreland, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on June 30, 1955, in Philadelphia, Jim lived a life marked by dedication to his work, devotion to his family, and lasting ties to those who knew and loved him.

Jim built a respected career in the field he knew so well. He graduated from Penn State University in 1977 with a degree in Turfgrass Management, a course of study that shaped the work he would go on to do for many years. He served as Superintendent of Grounds for golf courses throughout Montgomery and Chester Counties, bringing care and skill to landscapes enjoyed by so many. He later spent 25 years as Head of Grounds at Johnson & Johnson Global Site Operations in Spring House, Pennsylvania, where his steady commitment and professionalism left a lasting impression.

Above all, Jim will be remembered by his family. He is survived by his daughters, Kelly Kallos and Betsy Gallagher, and his sons-in-law, Arpad Kallos and Dan Gallagher, who shared in the love and bond that made their family so special. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Declan and Rowan Gallagher; his sisters, Connie Owens (Matthew) and Megan Malizia (Michael); and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends who will hold his memory close to their hearts.

Jim was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Julie Sullivan Wrigley, with whom he shared 48 years of marriage filled with love, devotion, and cherished memories, as well as his parents, James C. Wrigley and Mary Clare Wrigley and a sister, Barbara Wrigley. May he now rest peacefully in their company, reunited with those he loved so much.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Holy Martyrs Church, 120 Allison Rd, Oreland, PA 19075.
