James Daniel McMullen

James Daniel McMullen, 71, of Oreland PA, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2023 of pneumonia. Jim was born on April 7, 1951 to Daniel Joseph and Mary Elizabeth McMullen in Philadelphia. Jim worked with the Sisters of Saint Joseph from 1999 until 2022 at Chestnut Hill College where he maintained the grounds and buildings. Early in life, Jim battled addiction and was proudly sober for 40 years until his passing. Jim enjoyed fishing and watching Fox News Channel to keep up to date on politics as well as spending time with his rescued fur babies Gypsy, Mack, and Snickers. Jim was predeceased by his parents and his older sister Jeanie (Jack). He is survived by his loving wife Lori McMullen, His three stepchildren and their families; Chad (Kim), Justin (Kimberly), Cody (Miranda); His Grandchildren Tara and Jacob, Nathan and Cristina, and Amellia; his Great Granddaughter Elena; his brothers Joe (Kathryn) and John; his sisters Pat (Ed) and Mary; and many nieces and nephews. Viewing and Mass will be held at Saint Genevieve Church located at 1225 Bethlehem Pike Flourtown, PA 19031 on Thursday January 5, 2023 with the viewing from 9am until 10 am and mass starting at 10AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to any animal rescue.
