James G. Gordon

  James Gary Gordon Sr., age 81, of Oreland, Pennsylvania was called home on March 19, 2019.  He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret M. Gordon and beloved son of the late Andrew and Sarah Gordon. James is survived by his three children, Susan Hoffman (Harry), Joann Buruschkin, and James G. Gordon Jr. (Samantha) along with his 6 grandchildren Ricky, Brittany, Gary, Nicole, Jacquelyn, and Peter.    Born September 22, 1937, James was raised in the West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia. James served in the United States Navy from 1956-1958. Just a few years later, he and Margaret married in 1961 then moved to Oreland in 1966 to raise their children. For work, James was a pharmaceutical sales representative, while also helping his wife with their restaurant, "The Whistle Stop", in Oreland.   James enjoyed fishing, trips to the beach, and riding his tractor. Most of all, he enjoyed watching his 6 grand kids through the years grow and telling them stories of his days in the Navy.   With the passing of James's wife only 51 weeks prior to his, a private service will be held for both James and Margaret.   Dad and Mom, you are now together again.
