Henrietta Knittel

Henrietta Knittel (nee Hoffmann) 94 years of age, of Warminister, Pa., formerly of Oreland, Pa., passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025. Beloved wife of Charlie (deceased); loving mother of son C. Jeffrey (Kathy); daughter Karen; grandmother of Eric (Caitlin) and Cory (Meredith) and great-grandmother to Maya and Archie. Mrs. Knittel lived the early years of her life in Kaiserslautern, Germany and came to America after WWII where she lived with her aunt and uncle. In the mid-1950’s, she met her future husband Charlie at a dance and they were married in 1957. Mrs. Knittel was focused on her role as wife, mother, and supporting the family in numerous ways as Charlie spent many hours working.  Later in life, she and her husband enjoying traveling around the US (often with Charlie’s WWII shipmates) and visiting numerous countries in Europe, including Germany where she visited with her relatives and friends from childhood. She always enjoyed hearing about the events in the lives of her grandchildren and more recently great-grandchildren. 

Graveside Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA.
