Gerald P. Reedy

Gerald (Jerry) Patrick Reedy of Roxborough and Germantown, born on Christmas Day 1945, passed away on September 15th, 2026, following a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband or Rosemary Daub. He is also survived by their cherished family members sister-in-law Maureen Reedy, nieces and nephews John Reedy, Karen Reedy, Kathleen Powers, Jeff Powers, Deidre Murphy, Paul Murphy, Brendan Reedy, Danielle DiMarino and great nieces and nephews John, Killian, Bridget, Grace, Jack, Owen, Brynna and Tristan. Also, his cousins in the US and Ireland and his best friends Richard Rock, CM and Dale Mezzacappa

Jerry was predeceased by his dearly missed parents John and Kathleen Burke Reedy, his sister Mary Reedy, brother John Reedy and his faithful companion, Gracie.

Jerry was born in Germantown and in many ways never left spending his entire working life in the old neighborhood. He attended Immaculate Conception elementary school and Mercy Technical High School. He was employed as the maintenance supervisor by the Daughters of Charity’s St Joseph’s Home for Children. When that institution ceased operations, he stayed with the new owners of the property, Greenwich Services, whose mission was caring for people with developmental disabilities. For twenty years prior to retirement Jerry was the church sexton at The Miraculous Medal Shrine.

Jerry and Rosemary loved travelling. Together they transversed the Panama Canal by ship, road tripped to the Grand Canyon, sailed the Rhine River, and several trips to Ireland and Quebec City.

Rosemary wants to thank family, friends and neighbors and the Journeys’ Way community who supported her and Jerry during the past difficult months.
