Gail Kenney, 79, of Oreland, PA passed away peacefully on June 30, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, courage, and a love for life.

Gail lived a life defined by learning, advocacy, and service. She was a proud graduate of Boston University and Temple University. She enjoyed a successful career as an accountant where she was respected for her intelligence, integrity, and dedication. Outside of her career, Gail embraced life with curiosity and enthusiasm.

She loved traveling, reading, attending the theater, exploring art, and engaging in thoughtful conversations about politics and social justice. She cared deeply about her community and believed that everyone deserved to be heard and treated with dignity. One of Gail's defining qualities was her willingness to speak her mind. She never hesitated to stand up for what she believed was right, especially when advocating for those whose voices often went unheard. Her honesty and compassion left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Above all, Gail was devoted to her family and friends. She shared many wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Anthony Kenney, whose love and partnership brought her great happiness. She especially loved the many adventures they shared as they traveled to many parts of the world. She cherished her family and found joy in celebrating life's milestones, sharing laughter, and creating lasting memories with those she loved.

Gail was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Louise Cotton, her cherished son, Will Utech, and her dear brother, Ward Cotton.

Gail will be remembered as a loving wife, a caring friend, and a truly remarkable woman who never stopped believing in the goodness of people. She had a generous heart, sharp wit, and a fearless spirit. Whether offering encouragement to a friend, standing up for someone in need, or simply sharing a thoughtful conversation, Gail made people feel seen, valued, and respected. Her life was a reminder that kindness, courage, and speaking up for others can make the world a better place. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A private service will be held to celebrate Gail's life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Shevlin Foundation.  Shevlin is a community-based, non-profit organization whose mission is to empower those affected by Substance Use Disorder with the support and empathy they deserve to champion their own personal journey of sustained recovery.  This was a cause close to Gail’s heart.  https://shevlinhelps.org/give/donate/
