In Loving Memory of Frank Gallagher

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Frank Gallagher, age 73, originally from Germantown, Philadelphia, and most recently residing in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Frank, a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, left this world on October 2, 2023 after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Born February 11, 1950 to Edward Gaston and Grace Concetta (Bella) Gallagher, Frank grew up alongside his siblings, Marie Cooper, Edward Gallagher, Verna Mullin, Grace Gallagher and Frances Gallagher. 

Frank is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Ann (Engler) Gallagher. He leaves behind a legacy of resilience and dedication through his children: daughters Erin (Chris) Pasela, Heather (Jay) Barnica, Colleen (Scott) Soeder, and son Daniel (Elizabeth) Gallagher. Frank's pride and joy extended to his grandchildren: Madison, Riley and Taylor Soeder, Andrew and Nathan Barnica, Chase and Hunter Pasela, Declan and Rowan Gallagher. Frank is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Frank served honorably in the United States Navy on the Wallace L. Lind (DD 703) and the Joseph P Kennedy (DD 850), from 1967 to 1971. A jack-of-all-trades, he worked for 25 years as a journeyman at the Sheet Metal Workers Local #19, with an unwavering work ethic and unrivaled ingenuity.

A memorial service to honor Frank's life will be held at John F. Murray Funeral Home, 1220 Bethlehem Pike Flourtown, PA on Saturday, October 7th. Visitation at 9:00am, Service at 10:00 am followed immediately by interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Phila. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research in Frank's memory.
