Francis X. Hughes

Francis X. Hughes, 76, of Souderton, unexpectedly on April 14, 2019 at Grand View Hospital.  He was born September 29, 1942 in Philadelphia, the son of the late Bernard J. and Marie (nee Fehn).  Fran graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High School, Class of 1960.  Following his education, he worked as an electrician for Acme Markets and Temple University until retirement.  Fran was an avid sports fan and loved the Mountains.   He is survived by his wife of 58 years Judith (nee Weber), his five children Francis Jr. (Mary) of Warminster, Ellen (Francis) of Collegeville, Michael (Lisa) of Cinnaminson, Judith (John) of Suwanee Georgia, and Maureen (Jason) of Souderton.  He is also survived by his grandchildren Ryan (Lisa), Francis III ( Christina), Heather, Michael, Danielle, Patrick, Andrew, Brendan, Sean, Kelsey, Collin and Claire. He is also survived by his sister Marie.  In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his son Andrew, and his brothers Bernard and Raymond.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday April 17, 2019 at 11AM at St. Maria Goretti Church 1601 Derstine Rd Hatfield, PA 19440.  Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation from 10-11AM at the church.  Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Harley’s Haven Dog Rescue 1419 Ridge Rd Perkasie, PA 18944.
