Donna Marie Whitlock (nee Galiette) found final peace on Wednesday, September 23 at age 79, after a long illness. Beloved wife of Chuck (Carl, Jr.), devoted mother of son Carl Whitlock III (Jacquelyn), of daughter Katherine Szymanski (Michael), grandmother of May and Campbell Whitlock, and Charlotte Szymanski. Donna is also survived by sisters Joann Cusano (Sonny), Deborah Beckwith (Ernest), and brother William Galiette (Jane Marie).

From her hometown of Southington, CT, Donna ventured to Washington, D.C. where she began a career in communications that would span four decades and include positions as Managing Editor, Advertising Director, and Editor. In D.C. she also met her husband Chuck and together they would honeymoon, continue their media careers, and begin a family in Naples, FL, welcoming the arrival of their son Carl. Soon after relocating to Pennsylvania, Donna gave birth to daughter Kate, and instilled a lifelong principle of family-above-all in her children.

After guiding their early development and education, Donna took a position as Media Liaison in Campus Relations at Arcadia University, bringing with her considerable talent and experience. She encouraged Carl and Kate to earn their Bachelor degrees at Arcadia, attaining one herself as a lifelong goal. Donna completed her tenure of over two decades at the Glenside campus as Event Coordinator, orchestrating graduations, celebrity visits, and special occasions.

After retirement Donna continued to devote her life to family, happily spoiling her three grandchildren, and doting on the youngsters of family, friends, and neighbors. She will be sorrowfully missed by all whom she encountered.

A private memorial celebrating her life will be held in the near future.
