Christine A. Elwell

Elwell, Christine (nee Orzeck) age 75, passed peacefully with her family by her side on May 31, 2026. Born to the late Francis and Stella Orzeck Christine was preceded in death by her husband Joseph R.Elwell and brother Francis Orzeck, Jr. She is survived by her siblings Leah Leahy (the late Joseph), Cheryl Griffin (Tom) and Neal Orzeck (Mark). Christine was the proud Godmother of Lisa Curry, Renee Leahy and Samantha Berry. She was the beloved aunt of 8 and great aunt to 6.

Christine loved to crochet, make jewelry and pottery, and was always up for a good gossip session.She never missed a game of Bingo and often memorized the numbers instead of using a marker.She was always happy with a trip to the casinos and playing the lottery. Christine also loved the color purple; it was her signature color.

Above all else, Christine loved being an aunt.She loved her nieces and nephews and their children fiercely, loudly, and boldly.She never missed even the smallest moments of their lives.Her home was decorated with pictures of them and she showed them off proudly to her friends.

During her final years she fought hard to beat any illness that came her way. Christine’s devoted sisters worked tirelessly to make sure was taken care of, kept her up to date with all the family news, and shared with her all the pictures of her great nieces and nephews that they could so that she could always remain connected to their lives, even when her health did not allow it.

Christine lived a good life filled with the people and things she loved most and she will be deeply missed.
